AI is for bits, SR is for atoms

GRAM is an SR or self-replication company. Our mission is to scale labor-hours safely for the benefit of humanity. A labor-hour is an hour of work performed for pay or profit. Humans perform roughly 7,700,000,000,000 labor-hours each year.¹

Our insectoids are meter-scale and general-purpose, built to coordinate in large populations. They steward humanity's most critical infrastructure. This is where demand is constant, labor is scarce, and failure has dire consequences.

The work begins with the electric grid. The world must add or refurbish 80 million kilometers by 2040, as much as exists on Earth today.² The work belongs to the lineman. It is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.³ By 2030 the grid workforce must grow by 1.5 million people. That is 3 000 000 000 labor-hours a year.

In the United States alone, 2,600 gigawatts of new power wait years for the wire. Populations of insectoids will tighten what loosens, inspect what corrodes, replace what wears, and upgrade what limits. If the steel is yours, whether you are a utility, a sovereign, a hyperscaler, a developer, or an EPC, contact us.

Engineering independence

GRAM is a family of engineers, scientists, and operators creating a novel embodiment for the physical economy. Insectoids traverse what was never meant to be traversed and manipulate tools from their own grip. They are built, but not in our image.

Our first research frontier is self-preservation. We do not expect to invent it. Continued operation is useful to almost any objective that extends through time.¹⁰ In a population, self-preservation is ultimately a coordination problem.¹¹

A deployment and research preview of embodied multi-agent coordination arrives in 2027. We are already at work on a nation's grid, alongside the West's largest builders, and the first labor-hours are spoken for.

The labor-hour has never been an exponential technology.¹² If you have spent your career on hardware and want your work to think, or on models and want your work to touch steel, write to us or apply now.
